YOUR INFORMATION, EXPLAINED

Privacy policy

Your professional evidence deserves clear boundaries. Here is what inPro collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Effective September 29, 2026

Who operates inPro

inPro is independent software owned and operated by Bill Hood and Ira Hayes. This policy covers the inPro website, professional profiles, workspace, and related services.

Information we collect and why

  • Account information: identifiers, name, email address, and available identity-provider profile details to sign you in, maintain your account, and control access.
  • Professional content: profile fields, photos, services, contact details, uploaded documents, extracted text, and management, technical, education, and personal facts to build and operate your professional profile.
  • Workspace activity: questions, generated answers, assessments, accuracy ratings, review notes, approvals, and revision records to support evidence review and improve the usefulness of your saved knowledge.
  • Conversations and requests: questions and recent conversation context to answer visitors; meeting-request details, such as name, email, optional phone number, message, and scheduling preferences, to connect a visitor with the selected consultant.
  • Technical information: request and security logs, network information, and usage records to operate the service, diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and enforce usage limits.

Only upload information you have permission to provide. Avoid including unnecessary sensitive information about yourself or other people.

LinkedIn and other sign-in providers

When an enabled sign-in provider is selected, inPro receives the account identity information permitted by that connection, which may include your name, email address, and profile photo. LinkedIn sign-in remains subject to LinkedIn approval and availability.

Signing in with LinkedIn does not grant inPro access to your complete professional history, connections, private messages, or posting activity. Importing a profile PDF is a separate upload you choose to make. Review any imported information before approving or publishing it.

You can manage connected-app permissions through the provider. Disconnecting a provider does not automatically delete information already saved in inPro. LinkedIn handles its own services under its privacy policy.

AI and public visibility

inPro sends your question and selected supporting information to Amazon Bedrock to generate responses. Private workspace requests can use material approved for AI use. Public consultant answers use published profile information and evidence or facts approved for public use. Approving a fact for public use can make its statement available in answers; its private source quote and review notes are not thereby published.

Publishing a profile makes its published fields accessible to visitors and potentially search engines. Public answers and published content may be copied by others. Review contact details and confidential information before publication.

Saved facts and ratings support retrieval and review; inPro does not use this workflow to train or fine-tune model weights. AI processing is also subject to the provider’s applicable data handling and retention terms. See Amazon Bedrock data protection and data retention.

Public chat sends recent messages as context for follow-up answers. Clearing the chat removes its displayed conversation and active context, but does not delete saved workspace records or operational logs. Do not put confidential information into a public question.

Private messages and notifications

When you contact a consultant, we store your name, email, message, and replies in their private inbox. Messages are not published or added to AI evidence. Visitors can return using a private conversation link; anyone with that link can read and reply, so keep it private. Email addresses supplied by visitors are not independently verified. AWS processes email notifications containing links to the conversation. Inbox messages remain available if email delivery fails. Notification records are retained for up to 90 days; conversations remain until addressed through a deletion request. Email replies are not imported into inPro.

Who receives information

Amazon Web Services provides hosting, authentication, storage, delivery, and AI processing. Identity providers process their own sign-in activity. If you submit a meeting request, the selected consultant receives the information needed to respond. Payment-provider connections, where enabled, are handled by the named provider under its own terms; live payments are not currently enabled.

Authorized operators may access information to support the service, troubleshoot issues, and protect accounts. Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law or necessary to address fraud, abuse, or security incidents.

Storage, security, and retention

inPro’s primary application storage is hosted in the United States. Content delivery and service providers may process information in other locations. The service uses encrypted storage, authenticated access, and tenant access controls. These protections reduce risk, but no service can guarantee absolute security.

Account information, documents, facts, and workspace records are retained to provide the service until removed or addressed through a deletion request. Retiring a fact stops its future use but does not erase historical assessments that used it. Deleting an evidence document does not necessarily remove facts or answers previously derived from it; those need separate review.

Some backups, audit history, and security or legal records may remain after a deletion request where needed for those purposes. Contact us to discuss the information involved and any applicable retention limits.

Cookies and browser storage

inPro uses browser session storage for sign-in state and local storage for certain drafts and workspace caches. Authentication providers may use cookies to support sign-in. You can clear browser data through your browser settings; doing so may sign you out or remove unsaved drafts, and does not delete server-side records.

Your choices and requests

You can edit your profile, review suggested facts before accepting them, control publication, and remove evidence using the available workspace controls. You can also request access to, correction of, a copy of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing us. Depending on your location, additional privacy rights may apply.

We may need to verify account ownership before acting on a request. We will explain any limitations that apply, including information that must be retained. Please describe the request without emailing passwords, verification codes, or sensitive documents.

Policy updates

Changes to this policy will be published on this page with an updated effective date. Review it when you use a new inPro feature or change what you share.
